Lincoln Youth Football takes easy victory over Chatham

[August 31, 2012]  Lincoln Youth Football, the fourth-grade team stayed perfect with an easy 32-0 victory over Chatham on Thursday night.

Dylan Singleton set the tone when he returned the opening kickoff 65 yards to put Lincoln up 6-0. Seth Tungate had a big night, scoring two rushing touchdowns for 120 yards and two touchdowns on 40 yards receiving. He also added two extra points. Griffin Bossingham threw for 50 yards and connected with Tungate for two touchdowns.

Lincoln was led on defense by Ethan Trimpe, who had seven tackles, and Stephen Gleason, with five tackles and one intercept. Austin O'Donoghue and Nolan Yates both had fumble recoveries.

This season the Lincoln fourth-graders have beat Sacred Heart-Griffin 44-12, Rochester 33-8 and Chatham 32-0 to bring their record to 3-0.
