He was born on August 17, 1958 in St. Louis,
Missouri to George and Sue Gahr. The family moved
from Festus, Missouri to Decatur, Illinois when he
was still very young. The family moved once again in

Danny loved animals, raising and caring for many
dogs and cats during his life. He was an
accomplished artist and wonderful singer. He enjoyed
watching tennis and listening to all kinds of music.
He had a knack for fixing things which was greatly
appreciated, especially by his father. He loved to
laugh and to make others laugh. He had a kind and
generous heart and loved to give where he saw a way
to fill a need or bring joy to someone.

family, both immediate and extended, and many other
friends who knew him and loved him throughout his
life.
