[December 04, 2012]  Eighty Lincoln College students had the opportunity to thank the representatives of their scholarship during the annual Scholarship Donor Appreciation Reception on Oct. 27 in the Davidson-Sheffer gymnasium on the Lincoln campus. Approximately 200 scholarship donors, student recipients, family and friends came together for the event.

While the attendees enjoyed a sumptuous brunch, Lincoln College Vice President Debbie Ackerman led an informative program including updates on three new scholarships awarded in 2012 and two new scholarships to be awarded in 2013. Lincoln College student Robert Wilhelmson of Fort Morgan, Colo., spoke on behalf of the student recipients. Alumnus John Means of Mason City shared comments about his days as a student and former teacher at Lincoln College, providing insights on the scholarship established by his mother in memory of his father, Dr. Jack Means.

The following Lincoln College students are the recipients of scholarships to attend the college. The funds come from generous donations by some of Lincoln College's closest alumni, parents and friends and help many deserving students realize their dream of a college education.
