MOUNT PULASKI -- Vernell Bahn, 84, of
Mount Pulaski, died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, at 4:30 a.m. at
Vonderlieth Living Center.

Mt. Pulaski: Vernell Bahn, 84, of Mt. Pulaski died
at 4:30 A.M. Thursday December 13, 2012 at
Vonderlieth Living Center in Mt. Pulaski.
Vernell was born on May 6, 1928 in Illiopolis, IL to
Edward and Lydia Connor Bahn. He worked at Eaton
Corp. for 32 years and retired in 1991. He married
Dorothy Pharis on October 17, 1953. She preceded him
in death on June 15, 2012.

He is survived by one daughter Karen (Donald) Hummel
of Mt. Pulaski, a twin brother Verneil "Red" (Kathryn) Bahn
of Mt. Pulaski, two grandsons Jay Byrne and Chad Byrne, both
of Mt. Pulaski and three great grandchildren Alexis, Blake
and Chase Byrne. He was also preceded in death by his
parents, 4 brothers, and a sister.
A graveside service for Vernell will be held at 10:00 A.M.
on Thursday December 20, 2012 at Steenbergen Cemetery with
Rev. Rachel Stockle conducting services. Memorials may be
made to the family. Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home
in Mt. Pulaski will be handling the services.
