Monday night three of the five city wards honored their residents of the year at the Lincoln City Council meeting.

Among those honored were Mike Irwin of Habitat for Humanity from Ward 1, John Guzzardo and family from Ward 2, and Tim Smith from Ward 5.

Wards 3 and 4 will honor their selected residents at a future time.

Mike Irwin expresses his appreciation for all the Habitat volunteers.

Mayor Keith Snyder congratulates Irwin and offers a LCHS Railer Man ornament in appreciation.

John Guzzardo acknowledged everyone who helps deliver over 400 Thanksgiving meals annually to those who would otherwise go without.

Guzzardo and Snyder shake hands as they smile for the cameras.

Tim Smith was recognized for his help with the community gardens in Lincoln.  He told the council that had it not been for the donation of water from American Water, there would have been no gardens.

Snyder presents Smith with a Railer Man ornament and a handshake.
