[February 10, 2012]
The Lincoln/Logan County Chamber of
Commerce, in conjunction with Ameren Illinois' ActOnEnergy program,
will host a "lunch and learn" on Feb 28, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.,
in the Pegram Room at the Lincoln Public Library. The chamber
encourages representatives of businesses and organizations to attend
to learn how to apply for cash incentives to help pay for part of
their next electric or natural gas energy-efficiency project -- many
of which have paybacks of less than a year.

This event is the second in a new series the chamber is offering to
help business leaders in Logan County. "In 2011 we partnered with
Frontier Communications to bring a ‘lunch 'n learn' on social media.
This event was well attended last March, so we are hoping to see
that same response to this program," said Andi Hake, executive
director of the Lincoln/Logan County Chamber of Commerce. "We will
offer one more topic toward the end of 2012. If these two events are
successful, we are looking at moving up to four in 2013."
The chamber is accepting reservations now for the Feb. 28
program, where you can learn about the ActOnEnery program, find out
about the variety of cash incentives available for your business or
organization, learn how to get cash incentives for your customers,
meet your local energy adviser, Fred Joshu, C.E.M., and talk to
ActOnEnergy representatives to answer any questions you may have.
Millions of dollars in cash incentives are available through
ActOnEnergy, so this is an opportunity to learn more and start
saving.
