Sunday afternoon the Lincoln Park District was decorated to the nines for a special Valentine Sweetheart Dance.

Over 100 folks took part in the dance that matches dads with daughters and sons with their moms.

Roy Logan, event director at the park district, said the group appeared to have a really great time. There was of course dancing, but also craft projects that included making valentines and flowers, tons of great food, a special photo opportunity for the kids and their "dates," and plenty of time to just sit together and enjoy being part of a family.
