This summer, in lieu of a swimming pool, the Lincoln Park District has come up with some fun, educational and interesting ways for kids to get out in the fresh air and enjoy time with each other.

Among the several "field trips" on the agenda this summer was a trip to Helfrich's pheasant hatchery.
