MISSION MART CLOSING TOMORROW FOR REMODEL

Beginning Saturday, Mission Mart downtown will be closed for one week. Ten members of the Cedar 3 team of AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps have arrived to help pack and store merchandise, install new carpet and do a little sprucing up.

Mission Mart, one of Lincoln's popular resale shops, will reopen with an open house on July 28.

The store helps fund Home Sweet Home Ministries in Bloomington, which serves daily meals and supplies shelter, as well as offering weekly sack groceries, goods and programs as needed to homeless and low-income individuals and families.

The Salvation Army Keest Center will provide lodging for the AmeriCorps team while they are here to work.
