Thursday evening it looked like at least a portion of Logan County could see rain, but alas, it still hasn't happened.

North of Lincoln, storm clouds formed in the evening, and while it looked like they held the potential for rain, they also appeared to hold the potential for stormy conditions that would not have been all that desirable.

In the end, a few areas in Logan County did get minute amounts of rain yesterday, but it did nothing to reduce the stress of drought on area crops and local water supplies.

At the same time these photos were being taken, LDN reader Devin Biggs was on the road at the north edge of the county and caught a similar shot. That picture is featured in today's Community section.
