Marie A. Parks, 102, of Lincoln, died Saturday, June 2, 2012, at
1:15 a.m. at St. Clara's Manor.

Lincoln- Marie A. Parks, 102, passed away at 1:15
A.M. on June 2, 2012 at St. Clara’s Manor Nursing
Home in Lincoln.
Marie was born on January 20, 1910 in Grundy Co, Mo;
daughter of William and Louisa Thee Hildebrand. She
married Charles W. "Dick" Parks on January 24, 1931
in Greenview, IL; he preceded her in death on
November 3, 1966.
Marie was a devoted member of Immanuel Lutheran
Church. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church
Ladies Sewing Circle-Quilting Club and was part of
the Dorcas Class of Middletown Methodist Church. She
was an avid reader and loved to sew quilts.

Marie is survived by one daughter: Charlene (Harold)
Jeckel of Lincoln; five grandchildren and five
great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her
parents, one daughter Dolores Smith, one brother, five
sisters, and one grandson Eric Georgi.
Services for Marie will be at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday June
6, 2012 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lincoln, IL, with
Pastor Andrew Nyren officiating. Visitation will be from
9:30 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Wednesday June 6, 2012 at Immanuel
Lutheran Church prior to service. Burial will be at Sugar
Grove Cemetery in Sweetwater Illinois. Memorials may be made
to Immanuel Lutheran Church or Donor’s Choice. Arrangements
are being held at Fricke Calvert Schrader Funeral Home in
Lincoln.
