Illinois country grain prices were
sharply higher on Tuesday afternoon.
The hot and dry extended weather
forecast helped to boost grain values.
From the USDA's Weekly Crop
report, the Illinois corn crop dropped 4% from one
week ago, by placing 56% in the good to excellent range.
The Illinois soybean crop fell 3%
from the prior week, placing 50% in the good to
excellent category.
In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted
shelled corn bids mostly 8 to 13 cents higher at 6.33-6.57.
Soybean bids traded 46 to 49 cents
higher at 14.15-14.29.
In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn
bids were 13 cents higher at 6.43-6.61.
Soybean bids were 45 to 50 cents
higher at
14.22-14.37.
Wheat bids were 19 to 20 cents
higher at 6.25-6.47.
In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were 9 to
13 cents higher at 6.41-6.62.
Soybean bids were 47 to 48 cents
higher at 14.23-14.43.
Wheat bids were 16 to 25 cents higher at 6.43-6.65.
