On
Tuesday evening, Logan County Board chairman Bob
Farmer, with the approval of the board, named
Devin Vannoy as volunteer associate director for
the Logan County Emergency Management Agency.
The appointment allows Vannoy to carry out
duties as assigned by the director and to assume
responsibility for duties when the director and
deputy director are not present.

Archaeology
students study the remains of a mammoth at an
open pit coal mine in Kostolac, 80 kilometers
(50 miles) east of Belgrade, Serbia.
Archaeologists in Serbia say they have
discovered a rare mammoth field containing
remains of at least five of the giant animals
that lived there tens of thousands of years ago.

"Hi! We are
from a litter of five kittens who are ready for
forever homes. We were born the first part of
April, so we are about 11 weeks old. We are all
shades of gray, some with stripes and some
without. A couple of us even have some black on
us. We are girls: Kiki, Darlin, Bella and Lily,
with one brother, Cory. All but one of us are
spayed or neutered, and we are all almost done with
our shots. We are litter box-trained. And, of
course, we are very, very cute. Come meet us at
the Humane Society of Logan County shelter or
call 217-737-4042. We are only showing you
pictures of two of us, so you have to come see
the rest of us."

Benji in a nationwide search that includes online tools and
sites that weren't around when the first four Benjis were
discovered.
