Lincoln Daily News
welcomes letters of appreciation, information and
opinion on matters pertaining to the community.
Controversial issues:
As a
community we need to be able to talk openly about
matters that affect the quality of our lives. The
most effective and least offensive manner to get
your point across is to stick to the issue
and refrain from commenting on another person's
opinion. Letters that deviate from focusing on the
issue may be rejected or edited and marked as such.

To the editor: Last Sunday, those who gave up a beautiful Sunday
afternoon and moved inside to hear the concert given by our Lincoln
Area Musical Society were more than rewarded. Indeed -- I will
presume to speak for all in attendance -- it was just a great
afternoon of outstanding music: instrumental and choral.
Those who entertained us so professionally are our neighbors and
friends, and we thank them for sharing their talent. There are hours
of dedicated practice, and that surely came through last Sunday.
Thank you, ladies and gentlemen, for this concert.
Jean and Bill Gossett
