On Saturday, the Lincoln Farmer's Market
began its season of sales at Scully Park. The market, which is owned and managed by Susan Wachter, will offer a
variety of locally grown produce items throughout the spring, summer
and into the fall.
Wachter said folks turned out early for the first day
of the market, and whatever fresh, early spring products were available
were quickly whisked away by customers eager for locally grown,
fresh produce. In
addition to produce, many of the vendors were offering bedding
plants for sale. Other items available included craft
products such as handmade signs, woven rugs, concrete garden decor
and, of course, baked goods.
