Illinois country grain prices were
higher on Tuesday afternoon, with soybean futures sharply
higher.
Export interest and strong soybean
meal futures helped to move soybean values higher.
In the cash markets, trading was
slow to moderate. Stronger cash basis at the gulf points helped
to strengthen corn basis at many river terminals.
In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted
shelled corn bids 14 to 16 cents higher at 6.08-6.20.
Soybean bids traded 24 to 29 cents
higher at 13.83-13.94.
In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn
bids were 13 to 14 cents higher at 6.15-6.32.
Soybean bids were 27 to 28 cents
higher at 13.89-14.03.
In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were 14 to
16 cents higher at 6.20-6.44.
Soybean bids were 26 to 28 cents
lower at 13.97-14.17.
Wheat bids were 10 to 12 cents
higher at 5.82-6.07.
