Monday morning the Lincoln/Logan County Chamber of Commerce and its ambassadors joined Aldi Vice President Heather Moore and local store manager Susie Spain in cutting the ribbon on their new store in Lincoln.

Before cutting the ribbon, Moore said a few words about the new location and invited Mayor Keith Snyder to also speak.

Snyder welcomed the business into its new location and commented that Aldi has been a long-standing part of the Lincoln community.

When the doors were ready to open at 9 a.m., there was a large gathering of shoppers ready to step inside and see what the new store was all about.

When the ribbon was cut, shoppers poured into the building with carts in tow, and many began their routine shopping.

On the exit side of the cash registers, long tables were set up with dozens of tasting samples of Aldi products.

Inside the store there were other representatives talking about Aldi products ...

.... and there was a chance to enter a drawing for groceries.

Kathy Horn, a chamber ambassador and city council member, checks out the new store.
