Yeates, 73, of
Springfield, died at 5:18 pm, Sunday, September 9,
2012, at Memorial Medical Center. She was born
August 6, 1939 in Lincoln, Illinois to Leo and
Loretta O'Neill
Logan. She married Richard
Yeates on January 16, 1960 and he survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Gregory
Yeates and Mark
Yeates both of
Springfield; six grandchildren, Mark, Matthew, Cory,
Tyler and Jordan Yeates
and Chace Bailey; one great granddaughter, Chloe;
two sisters, Jane Perry and Ruth Hurley both of
Lincoln; two brothers Leo Logan of Lincoln and
Richard Logan of St. Peters, Mo and several nieces,
nephews and cousins.
Her parents preceded her in death.
Loretta was a
member of Central Baptist Church. She worked for the
State of Illinois for ten years then went into
business with her husband and Children and was
Co-Owner of Dick's Shoe Repair.
Visitation: 4-7 pm, Friday, September 14, 2012 at
Staab Funeral Home.
Lie-in-State: 12-12:30 pm, Saturday, September 15,
2012 at Central Baptist Church.
Funeral Service: 12:30 pm, Saturday, September 15,
2012 at Central Baptist Church with Reverend Mary
Ellen Sharp officiating. Burial will follow at
Roselawn Memorial Park.
