NOTICE TO THE ELDERLY
AND
PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES
FOR
THE NOVEMBER 6, 2012 GENERAL ELECTION
Citizens who cannot leave their home or nursing home because of
permanent disability and are not registered to vote may arrange
for voter registration by contacting the Office of the Logan
County Clerk. Upon request, a list of Deputy Registrars will be
given to any person unable to come in to the Office of the
County Clerk for registration. Mail in registration forms are
also available at nursing home facilities.
Any qualified registrant may register to vote at the Office of
the Logan County Clerk located in Room 20 of the Logan County
Courthouse, Lincoln, Illinois Monday through Friday from 8:30
a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Two forms of identification are required to
register; one must display your current address. The last day to
register to vote for the General Election is October 9, 2012
(with the exception of grace period registration and transfer of
registration beginning October 10, 2012 and ending November 3,
2012 in the Office of the Logan County Clerk).
All polling places in Logan County are accessible to persons
with disabilities. Voting aid or assistance in marking the
ballot is available if needed. If you are physically unable to
vote at your polling place on Election Day, you may vote in
person No Excuse Absentee in the Office of the Logan County
Clerk, or No Excuse Absentee by mail. Contact the Office of the
County Clerk to receive an absentee ballot by mail. The last day
an absentee ballot may be mailed from the Office of the County
Clerk is November 1, 2012. The last day to vote in person No
Excuse Absentee in the Office of the Logan County Clerk is
Monday, November 5, 2012.
