“See You at the Pole” is scheduled for Wednesday,
September 26th. Students 6th
grade through High School are to meet at their school’s
flagpole at 7 a.m. for a time of student-led prayer. This
is an annual event that is held on the fourth Wednesday in
September every year at Jr. High and High Schools
around the world. It’s a great time for students to rally
in a united effort to pray for the schools, community and
their country.
FREE LAUNDRY SOAP CLINIC
LifePointe Church of God and Logan County Love are teaming up to teach people
how to make their own laundry soap, September 27, 2012. You can make
approx 55 gallons for $20. We will also give away a gallon of soap to everyone
who attends. This is only open to the first 40 people. To register call Tiffany

Mark your calendars now for Saturday, September 29TH
for the Atlanta United Methodist Women's first "Glitter,
Glue and Bar-B-Q" event. This will be a great opportunity
to do some gift shopping and have a tasty lunch all in one
stop. The sale will run from 9 A.M. to 2 P.M. and will
feature several handmade items and homemade goodies.
Bar-B-Q sandwiches, chips, desserts, and drinks are on the
lunch menu and serving hours are between 11 A.M. and 2 P.M.
Sale items will be priced, but the lunch will be a freewill
offering. The Atlanta United Methodist Church is at
the corner of 2ND and Race Streets (near Redwing Bowling
Alley) and is handicapped accessible. Proceeds from this
event will be used for missions, both local and other.
Together for Lincoln is moving to a Saturday this year (September 29).
The Community Worship Service at Lincoln Christian University will be
Sunday, September 30, at 7:00 p.m. Volunteer sign-up application are

The Musical Offering for World Hunger will present its 20th
concert at the Lincoln Christian Church Sanctuary on
Sunday, Oct. 14th. The concerts began when
Tim Searby and Linda Storm approached the Harvest Ministry
Team with the idea of presenting a concert to benefit world
hunger. Music is where they are gifted and they wanted to
use their gifts to help feed hungry people. Four of the
original performers will be appearing in this concert: Jim
Alllison, Gail King, Tim Searby and Linda Storm. Featured
music will range from the Classics to Contemporary. Treat
your friends who are music lovers to an afternoon of
excellent music and help feed the hungry. A free will
offering will be received.
Grief Share meets each
Tuesday at 6:30 pm through the end of November. Meeting will
be at Jefferson Street Christian Church, room 208
What is Grief Share: Grief Share is support group for people
that are struggling to deal with the pain of losing a loved
one. It involves prayer, opportunities to share your grief
journey with others that are learning to cope, and a video
curriculum of experts who share their knowledge as well as
their own experiences with grief. There is no cost to
attend. The optional workbook is $20.
