The lower oil prices are somewhat positive for drivers in the U.S. The average price for gasoline slipped about 2.5 cents over the weekend to $3.808 per gallon, according to a daily survey from AAA, Wright Express and the Oil Price Information Service. For other futures prices on the New York Mercantile Exchange: Natural gas fell 4.8 cents to settle at $2.837 per 1,000 cubic feet. Heating oil fell 2.2 cents to $3.0987 per gallon. Wholesale gasoline fell 2.49 cents to $2.9176 per gallon.
