Once again, the Lincoln YMCA is
offering a bike ride event on Saturday during the Lincoln Art & Balloon
Festival. There are three great bike courses to choose from, and the
Y is calling it the Prairie 55. That's because the three rides add
up to 55 miles.

Chris Cicci, sports and activity director, said that this year the
emphasis is on families riding together, and the 5-mile course that
has been set through downtown is ideal for them.
There are also two great choices for the more experienced
cyclist. For the fit cyclist, the 30-mile course is recommended. The
20-mile course will be a good workout. Both these courses offer
great countryside scenery of northern Logan County, the town of
Union, the covered bridge of Skunk Hollow and windmills.
There is a small fee of $10 for individuals and no more than $40
for a family. Snacks and drinks are provided.

Cicci said it is important to get there early for sign-in.
Check-in begins at 8 a.m. Saturday, with the ride to begin at 8:30 a.m.
from the YMCA Activity Center at 719 Wyatt Ave.
If you have questions about the ride, call the YMCA,
