Wednesday
evening a group of residents and staff from St. Clara's Manor headed out to the
ballgame. They were attending a CornBelters game at Corn Crib stadium in
Normal. According to activity director Penny Tipton, the group trip was paid for
with proceeds from a bake and yard sale on July 4. Their trip to
Normal was made in the St. Clara's bus. Once they arrived, they were
treated like VIPs, with reserved seats in an air -conditioned box section.
Those who went on the trip are,
seated left to right; Florence Williamson, Charlie Sloan, Dorothy O'Malley, Harryet Sullivan and Charles Nauts. Standing, left to right, are Rebecca

A
crashed bus in Narok, Kenya, lies with its roof completely destroyed on Thursday. Kenya's Red Cross says at least 41 people were killed after the
early morning crash. Police said more than two dozen others were injured after
the bus driver lost control and the large touring bus plunged into a valley. Police officer Samuel Kimaru said the bus veered off the road around 2
a.m. Thursday and landed on its roof. Deadly road accidents are common in Kenya, where
highways lack safety features like guardrails or reflective paint.
