[January 29, 2013]
On March 23 at 6 p.m., doors
will open at the Knights of Columbus in Lincoln for the seventh
annual Cheeseburger in Paradise. This event raises money for local
Community Action programs that serve area seniors and those living
in poverty.
|
The evening will feature Jimmy Buffet-inspired live musical
entertainment, all-you-can-eat cheeseburgers, raffles and a live
auction. Last year the event raised over $27,000 for Community
Action. The goal this year is $35,000. The funds will benefit
several programs, such as the Apple of My Heart nutrition program
for seniors.
Having a table is a great way for a business or organizations to
support Community Action programs and have a night of fun and food.
The agency is also looking for auction and raffle donations.
Eight-person tables are available at two sponsorship levels:
Flamingo Tables for $275 and ParrotHead VIP Tables for $350.
Individual tickets are $35 each. The event is limited to the number
of tickets available, so call to purchase or reserve your table. For
more information or to purchase tickets, call 217-732-2159, ext. 0.
