Free seminar at ALMH on weight-loss surgery

A free seminar, "Health Benefits
of Weight Loss Surgery," will be presented at 5:30 p.m. on July 17
in the Steinfort Meeting Room at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

 Orlando J. Icaza, M.D., F.A.C.S., a surgeon with Memorial's Medical
Center's nationally accredited bariatric program, will discuss the
health benefits of weight-loss surgery. Conditions like sleep apnea,
heart disease and diabetes often go hand-in-hand with being
significantly overweight. Dieting and exercise alone are not enough
for some who struggle with obesity to attain a substantial weight
loss and improve overall health.Light refreshments will be
provided.
