In this 2009 photo, Sheriff Steve Nichols stands at the podium amid a large group of investigators and agencies involved in the arrest and eventual conviction of Christopher Harris for the murders of five members of a Beason family just days earlier. Recently Nichols was recognized by the Logan County Board for his leadership in the investigation and his careful attention to the evidence that led to Harris' conviction.
