Monday morning, even though the
fair had not officially begun, it was a busy day for a large number
of Logan County 4-H'ers as they presented all their Department W
exhibits.
The
exhibit barns were abuzz with kids, parents, superintendents and
judges as approximately a half-dozen exhibit classes were going on
simultaneously.
In one barn were all the
floriculture and horticulture projects. In the other barns were
crops, vegetables, non-original visual arts, rockets, electronics,
science, citizenship, international studies, theater, journalism,
photography and woodworking, just
to name a few.
Kids were moving quickly from
station to station as a number of them had entries in more than a
few classes.
Among the winners of the day
was Tanner Smith, pictured above in the center, with his woodworking
project. Tanner received a Best of Show award, presented by
Aden Wurth, pictured to Tanner's left, on behalf of Beason Ag Club. Also standing in for the shot was the woodworking judge, Matthew Dahmm.
The photos to follow are a
representation of all the Department W exhibits and exhibitors with
the exception of crops, floriculture, horticulture, original visual
arts and vegetables.
