Marcia Greenslate, director of the Lincoln Park District, last week shared that she had received some very good news. It wasn't official at that moment, but today it is. The district has been awarded $400,000 for the construction of their new aquatic center. Greenslate said a goal has been set of summer 2014 for the new center to open.
