Thursday morning, representatives from Ameren Illinois and the Ameren ActOnEnergy program presented the city of Lincoln with the 2013 Most Progressive City award. The award comes as a result of the fact that a high percentage of Lincoln businesses have taken advantage of energy-saving programs through ActOnEnergy. Pictured above are representatives from a few of those businesses, along with representatives from Ameren, the city and the Lincoln/Logan County Chamber of Commerce. Pictured above, from the left: Rhonda Piatt of Lincoln College, chamber president and local businessman Joe Ryan, Daetta Jones and Agnes Mrozowski of Ameren, Mayor Keith Snyder, Matthew Xamis of Jim Xamis auto dealership, chamber director Andi Hake, Elaine Aue of Culver's, and Kathy Horn representing Kroger and the city of Lincoln.
