NOTICE TO THE ELDERLY AND
PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES
AND ABSENTEE AND GRACE PERIOD VOTING
FOR THE NOVEMBER 4, 2014 GENERAL ELECTION
Citizens who cannot leave their home or nursing home because
of permanent disability and are not registered to vote may
arrange for voter registration by contacting the Office of
the Logan County Clerk. Upon request, assistance can be
obtained through the Clerk or deputy registrar. On-Line and
Mail-in registration forms are available to all citizens of
the State of Illinois on the County Clerk website:
www.co.logan.il.us/county_clerk/ under Election
Information. Registration forms may also be obtained at the
resident’s nursing home.
Any
qualified resident may register to vote at the Office of the
Logan County Clerk located in Room 20 of the Logan County
Courthouse, Lincoln, Illinois Monday through Friday from
8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Two forms of identification are
required to register; one must display your current address.
The last day to register to vote with a deputy registrar for
the General Election is October 7, 2014 (with the exception
of grace period registration and transfer of registration
beginning October 8, 2014 and ending November 4, 2014 in the
Office of the Logan County Clerk).
All polling places in Logan
County are accessible to persons with disabilities. Voting
aids and assistance in marking the ballot are available if
needed at the polling place and in the Office of the County
Clerk.
If you
are unable to vote at your polling place on Election Day you
may vote Absentee. An excuse is no longer needed to vote
Absentee. Absentee voting in person and by mail will be
available in the Office of the Logan County Clerk on
September 25, 2014. Registered voters may now make
application for an absentee ballot by mail. Applications to
Vote can be obtained on the County Clerk’s website:
www.co.logan.il.us/county_clerk/ under Election
Information or through a request in person, by mail or
telephone through the Office of the County Clerk. The last
day an Application to Vote may be received by mail, and the
last day an Absentee Ballot may be mailed from the Office of
the County Clerk is October 30, 2014. The last day to vote
in person Absentee in the Office of the Logan County Clerk
is Monday, November 3, 2014. Contact the Office of the
County Clerk to receive further Absentee information, or
visit the Logan County Clerk website for up-to-date
information and forms.

information concerning absentee voting, voter registration,
or voting for the elderly or disabled, please contact the
Office of the Logan County Clerk at (217) 732-4148. The
Office of the County Clerk and Recorder will be closed on
Election Day November 4, 2014 to all services other than
election related.
