Ukrainian troops to continue observing truce: Kiev military

[December 10, 2014]  KIEV (Reuters) - Ukrainian government forces will continue to observe a truce in the country's east after a significant reduction in shelling by separatists on Tuesday's "Day of Silence", a Kiev military spokesman said on Wednesday.

"To the extent that we are seeing a lessening of shelling ... we will continuing supporting the silence regime and hope that shelling will reduce sharply and lead to zero," spokesman Andriy Lysenko told journalists.
