The all-volunteer Lincoln Area Music Society presented their Winter Concert this past weekend. Concerts were performed on Saturday night and Sunday afternoon in the Lincoln Community High School auditorium.

Mount Pulaski Grade School has announced the students of the month for the month of December. They are 6th-grader Chloe Olson, daughter of Angie and Joe Olson of Elkhart; 7th-grader Claire Coogan, daughter of Joyce and J.C. Coogan of Mount Pulaski and 8th-grader Tanner Farris, son of Sarah and Todd Farris of Mount Pulaski.

On Saturday, December 6, the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) announced it’s Division 1 volleyball end of season awards. Lincoln Christian University (LCU) is pleased to announce that two of its own were acknowledged for their exemplary performances throughout the 2014 season. Libero Emma Recker and outside hitter Alicia Carson were both named to the All-American 2nd team.

Carson and setter Taylor Cremeens were also named Scholar-Athletes by the NCCAA for maintaining a 3.4 GPA for their academic career. Other Scholar-Athletes named included women’s soccer players Mykenzie Witzke and Rebecca Laker.
