The Lincoln Heritage Museum at Lincoln College was open late on Monday evening for a special volunteer appreciation event. Museum volunteers enjoyed refreshments in the Lincoln Center atrium, had an opportunity to view the Museum’s two special exhibits that will open to the public next year, and received a special gift from the Museum.

Once again, this year there will be a memorial service held on the steps of the Mount Pulaski Courthouse on New Year's Eve. The service will begin at 7 p.m.

During the service the names of all deceased residents, deceased former residents, and deceased relatives of current residents will be honored in a reading of the names and the ringing of the 1857 Courthouse school bell.
