							Obituary 
							 
							MOUNT PULASKI - Richard “Dean” Toohey, 81, of Mount 
							Pulaski, passed away at St. John’s Hospital in 
							Springfield on December 17, 2014 at 4:38 p.m. He was 
							born March 19, 1933 in Oakford, the son of John M. 
							and Anna (Brauer) Toohey. He was married to Lola 
							Lounsberry on July 12, 1958 who survives. 
							Also surviving are his children; Michael (Kathy) 
							Toohey, Susan (Jeff) Clements, and Emily (Mike) 
							Oberreiter; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 
							and one sister, Drusila Easley of Rochester, MN. 
							Dean was preceded in death by his parents and his 
							brother. 
							Dean was a lifelong farmer, 43 year member of the 
							Logan County Zoning Board of Appeals, member of The 
							American Legion Post #447 and lifetime member of VFW 
							Post 777. He served in the Navy from 1952-1954 
							aboard the USS Aucilla. He was also a lifelong 
							member of the United Methodist Church. | 
                    
					 
							Services for Dean will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday 
							December 20, 2014 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral 
							Home in Mount Pulaski with Rev. Dean Follis 
							officiating. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 
							p.m. Friday evening at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader 
							Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski. Burial will be at 
							Steenbergen Cemetery in Mount Pulaski with full 
							military rites accorded by the Mount Pulaski 
							American Legion Post #447. Memorial donations may be 
							made in Dean’s name to The Mount Pulaski American 
							Legion Post #447.
