In
the spring of 2015, a replica of the Abraham Lincoln
Funeral Train will make a week long stop in Lincoln.
This week the Abraham Lincoln Tourism Bureau’s Board
of Directors, in one of their last acts as an
independent board, agreed to finance the week-long
stay with the hopes of drawing tourists to Lincoln
and Logan County for the event. The ultimate goal
will be to connect the funeral car event to the
dozens of other Abraham Lincoln Historic sites in
Lincoln and Logan County, and hopefully draw in a
wide variety of tourists who will spend multiple
days in Lincoln.
