Logan County SWCD will sponsor tree and fish sales this spring

The Logan County Soil and Water
Conservation District will sponsor a tree sale this spring. They
will offer the following evergreens and hardwoods for conservation
plantings: white pine, Norway spruce, Colorado blue spruce, Douglas
fir, red maple, red oak, white oak, black walnut, eastern redbud,
silky dogwood, red osier dogwood and high-bush cranberry. All trees
are bare-root seedlings.

The SWCD will accept orders until March 7. Trees are scheduled
to be delivered to the office in early April. Buyers will be
notified of the exact date for pickup. The SWCD is also having
a spring fish sale. Several sizes of channel catfish, hybrid
sunfish, bluegill and largemouth bass will be available as well
as crappie, grass carp and fathead minnows. Fish will be
delivered to the SWCD office parking lot on April 15 at 10:30
a.m. The last day to order grass carp is April 1. All other
orders are due April 11.
