Workforce Advisor

The Land of Lincoln Workforce Alliance (LLWA) seeks a Workforce Advisor to provide employment and training services through the federal
  Workforce Investment Act (WIA).
  Duties include:
  1) Meet one-on-one with customers to determine WIA eligibility and assess training & services
  2) Provide career counseling, job search assistance & follow-up
  3) Develop & promote workNet™ sites & services, deliver workshops, market programs in the community & at career/job fairs
 4) Work 2 days per week in Lincoln and 3 days in Springfield.
               Minimum Qualifications
 Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred in workforce development, education, social service, human resources or related area;
Combination of education & work experience may be considered.
 Experience: Two years professional work experience in employment & training.
 Job Knowledge: Workforce/ labor market & community issues; computer literate; experience with database systems, document and software skills; written and verbal communication; ability to provide excellent customer service with diverse populations.
                         Salary: $34,955
