Thursday was a frigidly cold day in Mount Pulaski, but it didn't stop several from coming out to take a peek at the new Casey's General Store. The one-stop convenience store with food, gas, made-to-order pizza as well as grab-and-go pizzas, sub sandwiches and sides, doughnuts, fountain drinks, and excellent coffee is one-of-a-kind in Mount Pulaski and a very welcome addition to the city.  The Lincoln/Logan County Chamber of Commerce ambassadors had a ribbon-cut in honor of the occasion.

The photo above, provided by Lincoln Christian University, shows local high school students from a past Vine Conference. The university hosts the conference annually and this year's will be on April 4 and 5. Students are being encouraged to register early. Doing so will assure they get to attend and will provide them a discount on their registration fee. Early registration ends Feb. 15. The sports center at the Lincoln Park District is a great place to be on an extremely cold day. Above, a group of friends enjoy a game of pickleball. The center has a lot of athletic and exercise activities to help you stay in shape or get in shape when it's too cold to be outside. And, you don't have to be a pro, you just have to want to come and have some fun.
