MOUNT
DORA, FL - Mary Evelyn Mark, age 90, formerly of Lincoln, passed
away July 2, 2014 peacefully with family members at her bedside. She
was born May 20, 1924 in Aberdeen, Mississippi, the daughter of
George and Maggie Martin. Her husband, Maurice D. Mark, preceded her
in death.

Mary Evelyn Mark, age 90, passed away July 2,
2014 peacefully with family members at her bedside.
She was born May 20, 1924 in Aberdeen, Mississippi,
the daughter of George and Maggie Martin. Her
husband, Maurice D. Mark, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her children, David (Jeanie)
Daugherty of Mount Plymouth, Florida, Frances (Tim)
Buche of Yorba Linda, California, and Timothy (Kim)
Daugherty of Vienna, Illinois as well as eight
grandchildren, Amber (Jeremy) Morris, Maribeth (Ben)
Cunningham, Mark Buche, Allison Daugherty, Dale
(Christa) Heidbreder, Jayme (Nick) Foor, Andrew
(Stephanie) Snyder and Cory Snyder and ten
great-grandchildren, Kinley Morris, Ryker Morris,
Madeleine Cunningham, Jaxon Brogdon, Colton
Heidbreder, Spencer Heidbreder, Emma Heidbreder,
Parker Snyder, Keatin Foor, and Ryan Foor.
In recent weeks Mary was thrilled to celebrate her
90th birthday with all of her immediate family
members attending. Her family brought her much joy.
Her “can do” spirit, flare for fashion, passion for
having fun, her thoughtful and often repeated advice
and all of the wonderful holiday celebrations she
created will be missed.
She was a member of the Ladies Golf Association
at the Lincoln Elks Country Club for over 40 years.
She was active in the Lincoln Emblem Club #914 where
she held numerous offices and was most proud to
serve as President.
Mary enjoyed golfing, playing bridge, painting and
in her later years, ballroom dancing and karaoke.
She could not be slowed down even as age tried its
best to do so.
Services will be at Waterman Village Chapel, Mount
Dora, Florida on July 18 at 2 p.m.
Donations in her memory can be made to the Ladies
Golf Association of Lincoln Elks Country Club,
Lincoln, Illinois or Cornerstone Hospice House,
Tavares, Florida. |
