On Monday, an auction was held at the Lincoln Depot, clearing out all the personal property and fixtures inside the former restaurant. According to Mayor Keith Snyder, the disposal of the personal property brings the city one step closer to taking over the building. Snyder said last week the owners will sign the property over to the city shortly after this sale. He also mentioned the Monticello Train Museum is interested in one of the Pullman cars that will be disposed of by the city. Photos by Nila Smith (Click on image for larger version.) |
