'American Idol Live!' tour coming to the Illinois State Fair
Concert to feature top 10 finalists from this season
of the TV talent show

SPRINGFIELD — Fans of "American
Idol" can see the top contestants from the current season of the hit
TV series at this year's Illinois State Fair. The fair has announced
that the "American Idol Live!" tour will perform a concert at the
Grandstand on Aug. 8. |
 "Whether in agriculture, the arts or the performing arts, the
Illinois State Fair showcases the best young talent our state has to
offer," said Amy Bliefnick, state fair manager. "In keeping with
this tradition, I'm pleased to announce the up-and-coming stars
competing on 'American Idol' have decided to make Springfield a stop
on their 41-show summer concert tour."
The tour will feature the top 10 finalists from Season 13: C.J.
Harris, Jena Irene, Caleb Johnson, Jessica Meuse, MK Nobilette, Alex
Preston, Dexter Roberts, Majesty Rose, Malaya Watson and Sam Woolf.
One of those will be selected the next American Idol at the
conclusion of the Season 13 finale, which will air live on Fox
television May 20 from 7 to 8 p.m. and May 21 from 7 to 9 p.m.
Tickets for the state fair concert, which range in price from $29
for a Tier 3 Grandstand seat to $49 for a VIPit track ticket in
front of the stage, will go on sale May 10 at 10 a.m. through
Ticketmaster. They can be purchased online at
