Obituary Stanley S.
Bruketa, 80, of Lincoln, passed away at 3:15 p.m.
Friday May 2, 2014 at St. John’s Hospital in
Springfield.
Stanley was born on December
22, 1933 in Lincoln; son of Stanley T. and Mary Ann
Pierce Bruketa. He married Shirley Morrow on April
10, 1954 in Shelbyville. She preceded him in death
on September 15, 2009.
Stanley was a gas service man
for Cilco for 33 and a half years. He was a member
of the Holy Family Catholic Church, American Legion
Post# 263; he was an Army veteran of the Korean War,
Knights of Columbus, for over 50 years, Eagles
Lodge, and 40& 8.
Surviving Stanley are his
children: Debbie (Ed) Baunach of Lincoln; Mike
(Cynthia) Bruketa of Dunlap; two grandsons: Casey
and Kyle Bruketa; three granddaughters: Stacy
(Robbie) Leonard, Abigail (Brian) Ingram, and Corie
Bruketa; one great-grandchild Keagan Leonard; one
brother: Paul Bruketa of Pensacola, FL; loving
companion: Doris Oltmanns of Lincoln. Stanley was
preceded in death by his parents. |
Services for Stanley and his wife Shirley will be
11:00 a.m. Friday May 9, at Fricke-Calvert –Schrader
Funeral Home in Lincoln with Father Jeffrey Laible
officiating. Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. prior
to the service. Burial will be at Holy Cross
Cemetery, Lincoln where full military rites will be
accorded by Lincoln American Legion Post # 263.
Memorials may be given to the Land of Lincoln Honor
Flight.
