            		LINCOLN — Gertrude Munsch, 97, of 
			Lincoln, died Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at 2:45 a.m. at the 
			Christian Village Nursing Home in Lincoln. (Below is a copy of 
							the obituary from the funeral home.) ___ 
							Lincoln: Gertrude Munsch, 97, of Lincoln passed away 
							at 2:45 A.M. Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at the 
							Christian Village Nursing Home in Lincoln.  
							Gertrude was born on October 5, 1916 in Logan 
							County, IL to Marion and Sue Primm Sparks. She 
							married Henry W. Franz on November 27, 1936. He 
							preceded her in death on December 31, 1970. She 
							later married Wayne V. Munsch on December 6, 1980. 
							He preceded her in death on October 16, 2012.  
							She is survived by her daughter, Janet (Marvin) 
							Johnson of Lincoln, daughter-in-law, Linda Franz of 
							Lincoln; grandchildren, Aaron (Debbie) and Ryan 
							(Becky) Johnson, Amy (John) Tabor, Delyn (Brian) 
							Duggins and Tyler Franz; brother, Marion J. Sparks, 
							of Denver, CO; nine great-grandchildren; and step 
							children, Doris Anderson, Ruby Allen, Clarence 
							Munsch and Harry Munsch. | 
                    
					 
							She was preceded in death by her parents, two 
							husbands, son Dwain Franz, sister Margaret Wilmert 
							and two brothers, Wayne and Russell Sparks. 
							Gertrude was associated with the Logan County ASCS 
							for over 20 years as a program assistant and on the 
							county committee. She was a member of the St. John 
							United Church of Christ, past matron of the Lincoln 
							Chapter #351 Order of the Eastern Star, Abraham 
							Lincoln Chapter of the Daughters of the American 
							Revolution, Home Extension and various church 
							organizations. 
							Services will be at 10:30 A.M. Monday May 5, 2014 at
							Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln
							with Ryan Edgecombe and Rev. Jan Johnson 
							officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 A.M. 
							prior to services. Burial will follow at Zion 
							Cemetery, Lincoln. Memorials may be made to the 
							American Diabetes Association or to St. John United 
							Church of Christ. |
