Saturday evening approximately
250 young people participated in this years Lincoln High School prom
march.
The setting this year was the
north side of the Logan County Courthouse. Broadway Street was
closed off and by the time the march began the area was filled with
spectators ready to proudly catch a glimpse of their special young
person ascending the stair and traversing a star-studded red carpet.
The outside area around the
courthouse was decorated with beautiful potted plants, ornate
stands, and star-themed decorations.
The evening began with
welcoming comments from Main Street Lincoln Executive Director Bill
Hoagland. Afterward Mayor Keith Snyder made a brief comment,
then introduced the emcee for the event, Steve Sauer.
It was also noted that this
Hollywood-themed event was the 25th prom march to be held for
Lincoln High School students.
