off the season with cook-outPhoto page one

Saturday was a perfect day for a cook-out and the community garden
group in Lincoln took advantage of it.

Hosted by Steve Allen at the Logan County Housing Authority, the
potluck meal was the kick-off of the season for community gardens in
			Lincoln.

Guests brought a dish to share and the garden group provided
hamburgers and hot dogs fresh off the grill with Allen serving as
			the grill master.

Among the guests were those who have gardened in the past, and some
who were interested in taking a plot for the first time.

There are community garden plots scattered around town, so anyone
interested in taking a plot this year should be able to find one not
			too far from home.

Plots are spoken for in 10 feet by 10 feet plots with a small fee
involved. To learn more about this contact Vinyard at Lincoln City
			Hall.
