Obituary
LINCOLN - Orville D. Lolling, 73, passed away at
7:22 a.m. on October 16, 2014 at St. John’s Hospice
in Springfield.
Orville was born on December 23, 1940 in Hartsburg;
son of Rudolph and Minnie Swart Lolling. He was
united in marriage to Beverly “Bev” McClure on
September 28, 1963 in Lincoln.
Also surviving are his children: Kyle (Jenny)
Lolling of Lincoln and Tara (John) Kooken of
Springfield; four grandchildren: Kennedy and Morgan
Lolling; Kaylee and Jeffrey Kooken; three brothers:
Gerald (Marilyn) Lolling of Hartsburg; Wendell
(Debbie) Lolling of Tempe, AZ; Wayne (Barbara)
Lolling of Lincoln. Orville was preceded in death by
his parents, one brother: Rudy Lolling, and one
Sister: Mildred Lolling.
Orville was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, was an
avid St. Louis Cardinal fan, Loved to hunt water
fowl, loved to fish, enjoyed playing golf, and was a
firefighter retiring as assistant Chief.
Services for Orville will be 4:00 p.m. Saturday
October 18, 2014 at Zion Lutheran Church in Lincoln
with Rev. Mark Thompson officiating. Visitation will
be two hours prior to service. Memorials may be
given to St. John’s Hospice. Services were entrusted
to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
