Logan County 4-H and Extension to host Fall Hunting discipline October 25th
Free curtain raising event open to all youth

[October 16, 2014]  LINCOLN - A new 4-H Fall Hunting & Outdoor Skills project has been added to the Shooting Sports disciplines.

The program will be a great one for those who have always had an interest in hunting!

A two hour Curtain Raising Event for this new Shooting Sports project will be on Saturday, October 25th from 9—11 am at the Logan County Extension Office.

This discipline will include a variety of activities. Examples of the hunting skills and techniques that will take place on October 25th includes Caveman Skeet, Caramelita Hunt, and Quiet Stalking Activity.

Caveman Skeet will cover the origins of hunting tools. Caramelita Hunt is designed to test the skills of being a predator. Quiet Stalking Activity
will cover the skill of walking quietly

Hunting/Outdoor Skills is open to youth ages eight to 18-years. There is no cost to attend the Curtain Raising event but pre-registration is required. You must register to attend the Hunting & Outdoor Skills Curtain Raising Event by October 22nd to ensure we have enough supplies and adult instructors. There will be registration materials available at the end of the Curtain Raising Event to enroll in this project for the 2014-2015 year. A registration fee is required, with a discount available for 4-h members.
