Obituary
Queen E. Ross, 81, of Lincoln passed away at 8:21
p.m. October 12, 2014 at Memorial Medical Center,
Springfield.
Queen was born January 13, 1933 in Murphysboro, the
daughter of Thomas and Ella B. Marshall Gilliam.
Queen was an only child. She married George D. Ross
Jr. Dec. 17, 1958 in Lincoln. Her parents and her
husband preceded her in death.
Queen is survived by three daughters: Linda S. Ross
of Lincoln; Martha L. Ross of Chicago; Georgetta L.
Ross of Bloomington; one son: John E. Ross of
Lincoln and one grandson: D-ante M. Ross of Lincoln
and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Queen worked over thirty years for the State of
Illinois as a Mental Health Technician Level 4. She
attended Second Baptist Church with her daughter in
her final years.
Services will be held Friday, October 17 at 1:00
p.m. at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home,
Lincoln officiated by Rev. Glenn Shelton. Visitation
will be one hour prior to service. Memorial
donations may be made to the family.
