A
group selfie at the suggestion of the older kid in
the back row. Lincoln Community High School students
of Mrs. Bischoff's Economics and Mr. Cooper's
American Government classes were privileged to hear
newly elected Governor Bruce Rauner speak on
Wednesday afternoon. The governor now in office
approximately one month said that he is making the
rounds to "get to know my neighbors." Education is a
primary interest for him, and as he would explain to
the students, a passion that he shares with his
wife. The State's First Lady, Diana Rauner, is also
spending considerable time now on the road,
traveling nationally as the CEO of an early
childhood education organization, Ounce of
Prevention.
