At
next week’s voting agenda of the Lincoln City
Council, aldermen will give final approval for a
plan to begin the resurrection of the Lincoln Depot
to become as it was built in the early 1900's. The
state of Illinois will then approve the plan, and
work may begin. Spirtas Wrecking Company out of St.
Louis will begin removing all the building additions
that are not original. Today, the south end of the
Deport is the only section that looks as it did when
it was built. Soon though, the public will be able
to see the building as it was 'back in the day'.
